Two generations sharing a moment in a record shop, with the Windrush Kids T-shirt design

WINDRUSH. HONOURING A GENERATION.

For the people who crossed an ocean, built new lives and helped shape modern Britain. Windrush Kids honours their journey and the generations that followed.

The people behind the name.

On 22 June 1948, passengers from HMT Empire Windrush disembarked at Tilbury. Many had travelled from the Caribbean. Their arrival became a symbol of a generation who built new lives and helped shape modern Britain, often facing racism and discrimination.

Windrush Kids honours their contributions, the injustices they faced and the families carrying their stories forward. The design brings the ship, its passengers and later generations together in a tribute to heritage and belonging.

Heritage, carried forward.

The ship. The journey. The generations that followed. Windrush Kids brings them together in a design about family, identity and belonging.
